Vern's Creekside Retreat is a fabulous choice for those wanting the comforts of home, and the option of camping! With large manicured lawns surrounding the house, there is ample room for your group to camp with RV's, tent trailers, or tents. This property is one of our customer's favorites due to its very open floor plan which is terrific for groups and reunions!


2 night minimum Monday-Wednesday. 3 night minimum Thursday-Sunday and over holidays during summer months. 


Additional $5 per person per night for 15 or more people.

What We Offer:

Entire Home​

  • 3 bedroom, 2 bath modular home 

  • Sleeps 10 in beds (3 queens & 1 full, 2 twins) (maximum 15 in the home)

  • For larger groups up to 60 people, RV’s allowed in designated parking areas. Tenting allowed on the grass areas.  Well maintained lawns. $5/person/night over 15 people.

Kitchen

  • Fully equipped Kitchen, (18 cu ft frig, range, microwave, dishwasher), and all the small appliances you could want for your reunion

  • Washer and Dryer

  • Kitchen towels provided. Bring your own bath towels or call to request some.

  • Beaver Mountain Ski Resort is only 15-20 minutes away and is one of Utah’s best kept secrets. Over 664 ski-able acres, Beaver has well-maintained slopes, northeastern exposure for morning sun and avalanche-free conditions.

  • Not far from the Bear Lake State Marina & Beach

  • Located up Fish Haven Canyon Road near ATV & snowmobile trails

We want this vacation to be one that you remember for a lifetime. To make sure you don’t forget anything, here’s a checklist for what to bring when you stay at Vern’s Creekside Retreat:

  • 4WD & chains strongly advised for winter travel

  • Bath & beach towels & wash cloths

  • Personal toiletries

  • Extra Paper towels

  • Bed linens if you have over 12 guests

What We’ll Provide

In addition to all the wonderful amenities available at the Vern’s Creekside Retreat, we will provide:

  • Bed linens if you have 12 guests

  • Dish towels and wash rags

  • Paper towels, one per day of stay

  • Toilet paper, one/bath/day of stay

  • Garbage bags

  • Cleaning supplies

Lodge Rules & Instructions

1.

Check-in time is 4:00 p.m. and Check-out time is 11a.m. No exceptions!

2.

NO Smoking & NO pets are allowed anywhere on property!

NO fireworks permitted, even on holidays.

$200 fine for not following these rules! 

3.

Quiet hours are from 9:00 PM to 9:00 AM. Please help us in NOT disturbing our neighbors.

4.

Be sure to NOT pour any grease or chemicals, facial tissue, feminine products, diapers, etc. down the drain or toilet.

 We are on a sewage grinder pump and nothing can go in except septic approved toilet paper.

5.

Gather all trash in large garbage bags and deposit them in the dumpsters DAILY. Remember you are in the mountains and critters and bears love left out food and messes.

6.

You will need to bring your own bath and beach towels unless arranged prior to check-in. Kitchen linens are provided. 

7.

Please do not adjust the temperatures of the refrigerators. If you turn them too cold, they will freeze up. Please allow the refrigerators to cool your warm food at least 24 hours before calling us with problems.  This is a natural adjustment when putting room temp food in a fridge.

Very Important Rules

  • Limit of 60 people staying on property (15 max staying in the home)

  • Quiet hours are from 9:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m.  We do not want to disturb our neighbors.

  • Don’t use metal utensils on the pans.

  • Water Use: Please keep showers to a minimum time and baths to a minimum amount of water.  Don’t plan on doing your laundry at the home.  It is only for emergencies.  It is very taxing on our septic system.

  • Please bring your own wash cloths, bath towels & beach towels.  We do provide a good supply of kitchen linens.

 

Parking

  • Parking is limited to the east area up to the fence and to the rocks on the south.  Do not park on grass beyond the large rocks.

 

Kitchen

  • Please put kitchen items where they belong along with all other items.

  • Extra paper towels should be in the cabinet above the refrigerator; Extra toilet tissue is located under each sink of each bathroom.

 

Camping/Outdoors

  • Use precaution when using the fire ring at the stream.  Keep a bucket of water nearby to put out the fire after use. Fires may be restricted from time to time.  Please check prior to arrival.

  • Camping in tents are allowed on the lawns.  We have to keep watering the lawns during your stay in order to keep the lawns looking this green.   We try to water areas that you use after dark and areas that you normally don’t use during the day.

 

Bedrooms

  • Please take special precaution if your young children are sleeping on any mattress that the mattresses do not get soiled or wet. Should an accident occur, please contact property manager as soon as possible. All the beds have clean sheets. 

  • We suggest you bring sleeping bags for the ones who want to sleep on the floor and those who will be sleeping on the twin & Queen sofa in the living room. 

  • Please do not sit on the comforters in order to keep them in good shape and clean. When sitting or lounging on the beds, please remove comforters. 

Other Rules

  • We prefer only adults or knowledgeable youth operate the electronic equipment (TV, VCR, DVD) & HV.

  • Please read the instructions for the fireplace before using.

  • Lost & Found: We are not responsible for items left at the Lodge.  They will be discarded after 30 days.

Check-in

Instructions for using the key box:

  1. The access code is printed on your invoice.  The housekeeper will set the code just prior to check-in.

  2. Push the CLEAR button down then push the buttons that correspond to the combination given to you.

  3. Push down the OPEN button and while holding it down pull the lid out from the key box toward you. You open the face of the key box towards you and do not take the whole box off the door handle.

  4. If you have entered the incorrect combination, you can reset the buttons by sliding down the CLEAR button.

  5. When you release the OPEN button, the combination will clear.

  6. To replace the lid, push in the buttons that correspond to the combination you have set. Place the lid into the key box by first setting the bottom of the lid into the vault. Push down and hold the OPEN button as you return the lid to the closed position. The lid will lock into place, and the combination will clear when the OPEN button is released.

  7. Some properties may have a Master Lock which is very easy to use, similar to a briefcase lock.

Check-out

Please do the following before the cleaning service arrives:

  1. On a daily basis gather all the trash in the large black garbage bags and take to the dumpsters.

  2. Clean kitchen and put dishes in dishwasher and run the dishwasher

  3. Take the sheets only off the beds that were used and put in the laundry room, start the laundry & keep it going until check out.

  4. Be sure to check underneath beds and couches for your belongings.
